Saeid Basiri is the Community Relations Coordinator and Fundraising Director for SCDAM. He is a new member, joining the effort for Sickle cell Disease advocacy in Minnesota in 2008. Saeid holds a degree in Large-Scale electrical engineering from Vienna, Austria as well as a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. He is the founder and owner of Marcus Vending, Inc., a coin-operated amusement company in the Twin Cities and surrounding area. He is originally from Tehran, Iran and has lived in Minnesota for the greater portion of his life.
Saeid is highly passionate about Sickle Cell Disease advocacy and hopes that his new role in SCDAM will not only help to raise awareness about Sickle Cell Disease but also motivate people to fight for those battling with the disease.
